Go Cougars!

Our little Cougar fan only minutes before the bowl game...

We had Joel's family over to watch the game and help us eat way too much food. Joel had wanted to go down to the game but wasn't able to get good enough tickets. I am so glad we didn't go! It looked so cold and windy! It was nice to sit in the comfort of our own home complete with DVR, clean bathrooms, and drinks that cost less than $3 each.

Setting up Christmas

The Saturday after Thanksgiving was spent putting up our meager Christmas decorations.
Jenna was more than excited to help put the lights on the front porch. She couldn't wait to "flug" them in.
Showing me the lights using her Vanna pose.
Tada!
Wait just a minute...
So happy to be putting up lights
Supervising putting the tree up. We got a pre-lit tree after Christmas last year for 75% off, so putting it up this year was a cinch!
More supervising.
So proud

I didn't take any more pictures of the decorations. Just think of your own decorations minus about half or more and that's what our Christmas looked like. I love Christmas, I just hate putting out a lot of stuff. We still had a great Christmas anyway!

My cute babies

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. We spent most of the day with the Harrison's, then went to my family for dessert later in the day.

The Harrison's went over to the basement of the library so we could accommodate both Dave and April's kids. It was great! We had such a great time. There was lots of room to mix and mingle, there was a separate area where April had set up tables to make gingerbread houses, and at the end, there was a movie in the little theater. The food was delicious and it was a lot of fun to be able to talk to some of April's kids and grandkids that we don't see too often.

The boys went outside to throw the football around. Jenna wanted to join in on the fun.
Too much fun for Ben.
Working hard.

Learning Early

Ben has a little car that he sits in to play while I am cooking dinner or whatever. I was just looking through our pictures and realized that he is already giving the bird while driving. Isn't he cute, though?

Jenna's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Jenna's third birthday last month. It was pretty low key because things were pretty crazy with Joel being in school and me just barely returning to work. We had a fun time, though.

The Sunday before her birthday we celebrated with all of the Harrison cousins. Jenna had been begging for a Costco cake ever since Joel's birthday in June, so we had a giant cake for just the few of us. She got totally spoiled with lots of toys and clothes. She just loved being the center of attention!

On her birthday, Joel came home a little early from work and we headed over to Carl's Jr. Jenna loves the giant play land, so we let her play around for awhile. Joel had to go to school, but when he got back, we opened presents and had more cake. She had a great day and continues to ask if she can have her birthday again tomorrow.

Oh yeah, just for my future reference, she went to the doctor for her 3 year check up and she was in the 50th percentile for both height and weight (37 1/4 in & 30.6 lbs)

Sorry Mom & Dad. I meant to send this to you while you were in Botswana but just never got around to it. She loved the crown! Thank you! It was perfect for her princess chair!
