Nothing Special

It's been a busy week, filled with nothing special.

Jenna went to the doctor again to have her ears checked. This was the third try to get her hearing checked after getting tubes. The first time they sent us away because she had an ear infection. A week later we had to re-schedule because she had yet another ear infection. She finally made it a week without an ear infection and went in to the doctor. Unfortunately she failed the test. Apparently they didn't have the right tests available for kids with tubes so she gets to go back once again to see a specialist. Guess what, though? She has another ear infection! Her appointment isn't until the 26th so I guess she has some time to get over it.

If you couldn't tell by the way things were worded above, I wasn't able to go to Jenna's last doctor appointment. I had to work. I have been taking so much time off for her doctor appointments, my dentist appointments, and my eye appointments that I couldn't take the morning off to take her. I felt guilty about it all day. I don't understand how people do it--work and family. It's tough! I am so ready to just quit, but I can't quite yet. It sucks.

This weekend was fun, but uneventful. Jenna and I hung out Friday night. She helped me do laundry. She was funny. She helped by taking socks out of the dryer one and a time. We have a lot of socks. It took like 20 minutes. It didn't matter, though, because it was fun. She was so proud of herself.

Saturday Jenna and I went to Roberts to look for some scrapbook stuff. She wanted to touch everything! I left the store sweating! Later in the afternoon we went Easter dress shopping for her. We picked out a super cute little pink dress. I can't wait to see her in it. I got a little shrug to go with it because I figured Easter would be chilly. She wore it on Sunday and I just wanted to eat her up she looked so cute! She is turning in to such a big girl! After Easter dress shopping we went to Kid to Kid. I have never been there, but I love the store already. It's a place where parents can sell their "gently used" kids clothes. We got a couple of pairs of pants for $3 each. It's a great place to get the few things we still need after Jill and RaShelle gave us all of their hand me downs.

Sunday Joel and I taught our class again. It's getting a little easier for me. I ended up teaching the whole lesson while Joel took care of Jenna. The lesson was on nurturing love and friendship. It was a good lesson, although one section was pretty uncomfortable. You can probably figure out what that section was about. I think I was the only uncomfortable one though. People are pretty open these days, aren't they?

Now that I look back at it, it doesn't seem like I've done much this week. Not enough to excuse myself for sending Halle's birthday card several weeks late or not calling Brian for his birthday (Happy Birthday, Brian!). Sorry about that everyone!
